Mercedes-Benz Country Hills x Calgary Health Foundation NICU Fashion Show

On October 25, 2025, our Mercedes-Benz Country Hills showroom transformed into something truly magical. What was once a space for cars and craftsmanship became a place filled with compassion, purpose, and community. The annual Mercedes-Benz Country Hills x Calgary Health Foundation NICU Fashion Show once again brought together hundreds of Calgarians for a night that celebrated style, strength, and the smallest fighters who inspire us all.

This year’s event was nothing short of extraordinary. Together with our community, we raised over $250,000 in a single evening, bringing our five-year total to more than $575,000 in support of the Calgary Health Foundation’s Newborns Need Campaign. Behind every dollar raised is a family who has walked the halls of the NICU and a child who has shown what it truly means to fight. 

What Made This Calgary Event So Special

Since 2019, the NICU Fashion Show has grown from a local fundraiser into one of Calgary’s most anticipated community events. Each year, we welcome guests from across the city to experience an evening where luxury meets love. Held right here inside Canada’s largest Mercedes-Benz dealership, the show takes on a life of its own. 

But what makes this night so powerful is not just the fashion or the venue—it’s the people. It’s the families who once spent sleepless nights beside incubators, now returning to walk the runway with their healthy children. It’s the designers who pour their artistry into every look. And it’s the sponsors and guests who show up, year after year, to stand behind a cause that touches so many hearts in our community.

This year, our theme, “Into the Wild,” came to life in every corner of the showroom. Guests arrived dressed to impress, greeted by sparkling lights, live music, and gourmet catering. Yet, despite the glamour, the spirit of the night was grounded in gratitude and purpose.

Here’s How the Evening Unfolded

The evening began with a warm welcome as our showroom was transformed into a lush, wild jungle, brought to life through the stunning vision and design of Modern Rentals. Every corner of the space reflected the “Into the Wild” theme — vibrant greenery, wild prints, and elegant decor turned our dealership into an unforgettable runway experience unlike anything else in Calgary.

When the lights dimmed, the room came alive. NUMA Models took to the runway showcasing stunning collections from an incredible lineup of designers — Malika Rajani, Anneke Forbes, Joyce’s Closet, Twenty Seven Boutique, The Latest Scoop, NRT, Peanut and Bumble, Stuff, Vinni the Label, and Status. Each look told its own story, earning cheers that echoed with pride for Calgary’s vibrant fashion community.

But one of the most touching traditions of the NICU Fashion Show is when our NICU graduates take the stage. Every year, we invite children who began their lives in neonatal intensive care to walk the runway—bravely, joyfully, and full of life. Seeing them smile, wave, and dance under the lights is a moment that leaves not a single dry eye in the room.

This year, we shared a moment that none of us will ever forget. As our NICU graduates gathered together on stage, the entire venue lit up with sparklers. Guests raised them high, filling the space with a bright light and overwhelming love. It was more than a finale—it was a celebration of resilience, family, and community. The room glowed with hope, and in that instant, we were reminded exactly why this event exists.

Guests indulged in an unforgettable culinary experience led by Visionary Catering, whose creative menu and elegant presentation perfectly captured the spirit of the evening. We also enjoyed delicious bites from Brooklyn Dumpling Shop, Cactus Club Cafe, and Ryuko, each bringing their own flavour and flair to the night. Sweet treats from Dolce & Veloce, Krispy Kreme Canada, and Noto Gelato delighted guests between runway segments, while beverages from Nespresso and Woodford Reserve added the perfect finishing touch to a truly elevated experience.

The Cause Behind the Catwalk

While the runway shines with glamour, the heart of this event lies in its mission. Every ticket purchased, every auction bid, and every sponsorship supports the Calgary Health Foundation’s Newborns Need Campaign. These funds help provide life-saving equipment, research, and support for families whose newborns require specialized care.

Since 2019, our partnership with the Calgary Health Foundation has helped raise more than half a million dollars for Calgary’s Neonatal Intensive Care Units. These contributions make a real difference—helping provide the technology and resources that give premature babies the strongest possible start in life.

One story that continues to inspire us is that of Kevin, a member of our Mercedes-Benz Country Hills family, whose son Idris was born at 33 weeks. Idris spent six weeks in the NICU, cared for by the incredible team at Foothills Medical Centre. Today, Idris is a thriving little boy—and a shining example of why we do what we do.

“The NICU saved our son’s life,” Kevin shared. “Supporting this cause is about giving other families that same hope.”

For us, it’s personal. Every child on that stage, every parent who wipes away a tear of gratitude, reminds us that these moments matter.
