The new Mercedes-AMG C 43 4MATIC delivers more power with improved efficiency

The 2022 Mercedes-AMG C 43 4MATIC unveiled at the end of last month brings new technology derived directly from Formula One racing in order to deliver improved performance, improved efficiency, and an even more dynamic and rewarding driving experience.

The improvements begin under the hood where a new AMG 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine makes its way into the C 43 4MATIC with the world's first series production electric exhaust gas turbocharger. This new turbocharging technology provides spontaneous response at any point in the rev range in order to enhance the performance in any situation.

A 48-volt electrical system operates the turbocharger and the belt-driven starter generator. The improvements in turbocharging technology lead to a significant increase in horsepower with the 2022 Mercedes-AMG C 43 4MATIC now delivering 402 hp. The starter generator can add an extra 13 hp in certain situations and the C 43 4MATIC also comes with standard rear axle steering which, when paired with the 4MATIC permanent all-wheel drive with rear-biased torque distribution system, leads to exceptional handling and control for the driver. The powertrain is paired to a nine-speed dual-clutch transmission while handling is enhanced through the AMG RIDE CONTROL suspension with Adaptive Damping System that create one of the sportiest yet most refined driving experiences ever offered in a Mercedes-Benz C-Class.

Thanks to its 402 hp delivered at 6,750 rpm as well as its maximum torque of 369 pound-feet which is available at 5,000 rpm, the 2022 Mercedes-AMG C 43 4MATIC reaches 100 km/h in just 4.6 seconds.

The Mercedes-AMG C 43 4MATIC is designed to provide enhanced performance and sportiness, but in true Mercedes fashion it is also designed to be a refined and comfortable daily driver. Users can choose between five AMG DYNAMIC SELECT drive modes including Slippery, Comfort, Sport, Sport+, and Individual. Speaking of offering the best in terms of performance and comfort, the C 43 4MATIC has a three-stage AMG parameter steering system which features a variable steering geometry ratio that adapts to the selected driving mode. In simple terms, the steering assistance decreases at higher speeds and increases at lower speeds to provide as little or as much steering effort required by the situation.

The 2022 Mercedes-AMG C 43 4MATIC is an improved and better all-around performance sedan. Give us a call today to learn more about this exceptional performer.
