Three things to know about the 2021 Mercedes-Benz A-Class

The Mercedes-Benz A-Class arrived on the North American market two years ago and quickly enjoyed huge success across Canada. The A-Class reflects what Quebecers love about a vehicle. It’s compact, sporty, stylish and versatile, all while being equipped with a powerful all-wheel drive capable of tackling the worst winter conditions with confidence.

Here are three things to know about the impressive 2021 Mercedes-Benz A-Class.

It is available in hatchback and sedan version

Two configurations are available for the new 2021 Mercedes-Benz A-Class. The hatchback version, also known as the A 250, and the A 220 sedan. Each has its own engine, but they share the same interiors and same characteristics. The sedan starts at $ 37,800 while the hatchback version starts at $ 39,900. The other difference between the two is the trunk, with the hatchback being more spacious with up to 1,210 liters of cargo space.

It offers dynamic performance

No matter which model you take, you will be treated to the level of performance you expect from a Mercedes-Benz car. The A 220 sedan offers 188 horsepower and 221 lb-ft of torque while the A 250 hatchback offers 221 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque, enough to reach 100 km/h in just 6.2 seconds while averaging less than 9.0 liters per 100 kilometers in terms of fuel economy.

It offers a lot of luxury equipment

A Mercedes-Benz is a Mercedes-Benz, regardless of the starting price. Class A is no exception. You benefit from advanced safety technologies including collision avoidance systems, adaptive cruise control with collision avoidance, and a host of driver assistance technologies. You also benefit from the highly advanced MBUX system which allows various functions of the car to be changed using simple voice commands.
